Departments & locations

Beyond entity, two dimensions let you slice the plan the way the business is actually run: departments (cost centers) and locations (sites). Tag plan and actuals with them and you can plan and report by either.

Departments

Create cost centers like Sales, Engineering and G&A. Assign planning lines and headcount to a department, then read a department P&L or filter the grid to one team.

Locations

Locations represent sites or countries and can carry a default employer-cost % that headcount picks up. Plan a location’s P&L and report “Berlin vs. Tel Aviv” without a separate model.

Both dimensions are optional — start with entity only, add departments and locations when you need the finer cut.
